Barika Taheer Edwards is an award-winning social impact innovator, Harvard graduate, and University of Pennsylvania Global Social Impact Fellow. Her career is marked by a tenacious mission to flip systemic inequalities.
Barika believes there is more to operating a profitable business, and she is in helping companies achieve market dominance where sustainability and social impact are baked into the DNA of success. She’s known for her diverse insights that circumvent business threats and uplift cutting-edge solutions and practices that holistically benefit our global society.
Barika has a unique interdisciplinary sector background including tech, biotech, performing arts, broadcast media management, venture capital, social impact/sustainability, and nonprofit.
Her practice areas include business strategy, mvp-to-go-to market, project management, CSR, program design, systems change, and inclusive venture capital/entrepreneurship.

Marie Roker-Jones is a social impact leader, community builder, military spouse, and a Black Girl Ventures change agent fellow. She has over ten years of experience in leading workplace inclusion strategies.
Marie is also a serial entrepreneur and impact-focused business leader with a passion for upskilling and hiring overlooked populations in tech. She has co-founded two social impact startups, OweYaa and Essteem, which created opportunities for women, veterans, and people of color to enter the tech industry. She was the senior editor for The Good Men Project, a diverse, multi-faceted media company and an idea-based social platform for cultural conversations about manhood. As the founder of Raising Great Men, she built a movement for parents, empowering them with resources to raise culturally aware and socially conscious children.
Marie is a strategist, community builder, and social impact leader who advocates for marginalized people to feel heard, seen, and understood. She believes that all people should have the tools they need to move their dreams, goals, and communities forward in a positive way. She enjoys ideating through design-thinking to solve new problems and propel organizations forward while also making sure they stay true to their mission.
Marie is a passionate advocate for compassion and equity. As the lead for The Charter for Compassion's Compassionate NYC, she has facilitated cross-sectoral dialogue to examine implicit biases. She is passionate about social change—especially when it comes to combating the systemic biases that lead to criminalization, educational underachievement, and health disparities.
